Richard L. King

Richard Lee King, 59, of Loves Park, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.  Born in Chicago on October 26, 1956 to Jeanette Potts; married Carol Eversoll.  Richard served our country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed re-doing furniture and fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren and dog, Haylee.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Edward (Tara) King; daughters, Sarah (Robert) Watson and Rebecca King; step-daughter, Carolyn (Clyde) McCoy; step-son, James (Naomi) Maddux; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Juanita Kimmons; sisters-in-law, Sharon Maynard and Linda Fink; brothers-in-law, Duane (Jeani) Kimmons, Ronnie (Patti) Eversoll; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his step-son, Eddie Maddux; sister, Margaret King; and father-in-law, Thomas Kimmons.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am with a visitation from 10:00am until the service on Monday, September 26, 2016 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 North Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.  Pastor Wendell Maynard of Firstborn Ministries will officiate.
