Richard J. Kostuch, Sr., 71, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Rockford, IL in SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford. He was born January 12, 1946 to Herman J. Kostuch, Sr. and Delores Tausioko in Chicago, IL. Rich enjoyed time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially when in his realm hanging around in his garage fixing cars or teaching his grandchildren how to make repairs. He retired in 2011, still enjoying turning a wrench and helping others fix their cars, but most of all enjoyed his Pepsi and beloved Chicago Bears. He will be missed by those that loved him, knew him and were touched by his kindness.
Rich is survived by his three children, Rich (Rachel) Kostuch, Jr. of Roscoe, Janet (James) Moore of Rockton and Crystal (Scott) Rodgers of Johnsburg; 10 grandchildren, Randal (Jenna) Freeman, Jr., Samantha Moore (Tauren Olivas), Jennifer Moore, Jamie Cieryca (Graham Hall), James Cieryca, Jr., Jocelyn Kostuch (Ryan Barry), Josh Kostuch, Sabrina (Sean) Stopka, Hunter Rodgers and Ethan Rodgers; and 6 great-grandchildren, Brenna, Jordan, and Lincoln Freeman, Ella Moore-Olivas, Lennon and Leah Hall.
A private time of gathering to celebrate his life will be held.
