Raymond Cruz, 89, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017. He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on February 15, 1928 and moved Chicago when he was nineteen. Raymond worked for the Chicago Public Schools as a maintenance worker until he retired.
He leaves behind eight children, Blanche Sanchez, Gladys Cruz, Sergio Cruz, Marco Cruz, Connie Valtierra, Raymundo Garza, Manuel Cruz, Ramona Kurland; two step-children, Stella Jaramillo, Charmaine Hill; 36 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Rafael and Julio Cruz; 1 sister, Juanita Cruz. He is joined in heaven with his son, Raymond Cruz.
Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, November 4, in Life Church, 5910 Elevator Rd., Roscoe, IL 61073 with lunch to follow at Porter Park, 6598 Windflower Ln., Roscoe, IL 61073.
