Ramona M. Graupner, 83, of Rockford passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Born in Walker, SD on April 5, 1934 to Peter and Emma (Wolfer) Rangeloff. Married Richard Graupner on February 19, 1955 in Oshkosh, WI.
Ramona was employed as a school bus driver for District 205 for many years. Active in Scouting, she was a Unit Commissioner, Campmaster at Camp Lowden, assistant crew leader for trips to the Boundary Waters and 'Grubmaster" for Troop 23. Ramona was awarded the high honor of the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to youth. Community activities include Amercian Red Cross Canoeing Instructor, July 4th Flag Retirement Ceremony and Girl Scout leader. She loved camping and canoeing with family, friends and the Midwest Voyageurs canoe club. Ramona had a huge heart and helping hand for anyone that needed it.

Survived by her children, Cheryl Bowman, Gary (Deby), Michael (Irma), Julie, Janet (Jeff) Arns and Ronald; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Myron (Jacque) Rangeloff, Lester (Nancy) Rangeloff; and sister, Esther (Jerome) Hansen. Predeceased by husband, Richard; parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with Pastor Dan Herman of Old Stone Church officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
