Ralph Dewayne Harris

Ralph Dewayne Harris, 73, died June 22, 2017 in his home in Rockford. He was born March 7, 1944 in Henryetta, Oklahoma, the son of Ralph and Ruby Harris. He married Marilyn Miller of Mt. Morris on May 10, 1997. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Fastenal Company as a Tool Maker in 2016. He raced at the Rockford Speedway from 1955 to 2001. He also raced the Midwest Enduro Series. He loved working on cars, fishing and hunting. 

Ralph is survived by his wife, Marilyn Harris of Rockford; sons, Todd Harris, Jason (Jackie) Harris of California, Carl (Tiffany) Harris, Pat Harris of Rockford; daughter, Tracey (Alan) Conway of Rockford; step-sons, Lonnie Krebo of Wisconsin, Mike (Heather) Miller of Polo, Andy Miller of Wisconsin; step-daughter, Julie Kelley of California; brothers, Dave (Betty) Harris of Rockford and Steve (Heidi) Harris of Rockford; sister, Carol (Jim) Lynch of Maryland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents; stepson, Marshal Krebo. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
