Otis "O.J." Cox

Otis "O.J." Cox, 63, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017. He was born December 19, 1953 in Chicago to Otis Frances and Morella (Scholtes) Cox. He married Marie Dammann in 1974 in Beloit, Wisconsin. O.J. worked at Pearson and Kruse as a machine operator for 26 years. He was a member at the Svithiod Club for 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, pool, and going to the Navy Club on Thursdays with friends. O.J. also loved watching WWE with his grandchildren. 

Suvivors include his wife, Marie; children, Anna Cox and John Cox; grandson, John Cox; sisters, Karen (Gerald) Bovich and Cheryl Weber; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents. 

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park, with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
