Maria "Cissy" Perez

Maria Elena “Cissy” Perez, 49, of Rockford, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, at her home, with her family. Born January 31, 1968, in Portsmouth, VA, the daughter of Antonio and Helen (Johnson) Perez. She enjoyed time with her family, cooking, music, collecting films and donating her talent and time to others. Maria was a lifetime Wal-Mart employee, beginning, for many years, with ever-increasing responsibilities at the local stores, and concluding her career with corporate assignments.

Survivors include mother, Helen; brothers, Antonio and Michael; son, Emmanuel; niece, Crystal and nephews, Adam and A.J.  She is preceded in death by father, Antonio and brother, Robert “Bobby”.

Funeral service will be at 7:00pm with a Visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park.
