Lois Ann McDowell

Lois Ann McDowell, 96, of Rockford died Sunday, August 31, 2014. Born March 3, 1918 in Woodstock, the daughter of Glenn and Alice (Schuett) Boomer. She married Donald McDowell on August 26, 1939 in Rockford. Lois began working at the Rockford Clinic in 1967 as a medical secretary until 1994. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Rockford. She was also involved in the Kishwaukee Genealogist, Burpee Museum, Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum, Rockford Historical Society, AFM Local #240, and Rock Valley College Center for Learning and Retirement.

She is survived by her son, James McDowell; daughters, Rae and Karen McDowell; granddaughters, Kristine Friedman and Annie McDowell. Predeceased by parents and spouse.
