LaVere M. Galster

LaVere M. Galster, 93, of Rockford, passed away June 27, 2016.  LaVere was born in Osseo, WI on July 15, 1922.  She was a devoted  and dedicated homemaker who loved family and raised eight children from two marriages.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for over fifty years.

She is survived by children, Larry (Karen) Dunn, LaDona (Miles) Houd, Jon (Anne) Dunn, Sancha (Jay) Melcher, Paula Nelson, Peter (Bernice) Dunn, Rebecca (Daniel) Liston; stepdaughter, Marsha (Dennis) Slagell; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by her parents, Henry A. and Luella E. (Barlow) Larson; husbands, Lee Dunn and Wendell Galster; siblings, LaVonne Anderson, Donnah Buttke, Ellen Peterson, Maureen Roberts, Henry Larson, Jr. and Loyal Larson; daughter, Mariann Marsden; stepchildren, Jerry Galster and Cynthia Torrisi.

Visitation from 11:00 to 11:45am with the Funeral at 11:45am on Friday, July 1, 2016 in St. Paul Lutheran Church, N.W. Site, 4881 Kilburn Avenue, Rockford.  Private entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Presence Cor Mariae Center, Alzheimer's Unit.  Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory is honored to assist the family.
