Kevin J. Hartig

Kevin J. Hartig, 66, of Roscoe passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2018 at his home.  Kevin was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 8, 1951 to Jean and LaVerne (Berg) Hartig.  He was a veteran of the US Army and had been stationed at Fort Ord, California.  After returning from California, Kevin married Dawn Brahm in Chicago on June 16, 1979. Kevin enjoyed remodeling projects, loved working in the garage and always lent a helping hand when he was able to.  He also loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren.

Survived by his wife of 38 years, Dawn; children, Michelle (Enrique) Daniel, Jason (Stephanie McReynolds) Hartig, Sheila (Eddy Langley) Hartig, Lisa (Ryan Albertie) Hartig; grandchildren, Isabella, Olivia and Gabriella Daniel, Nicole and Alexander Hartig, Naomi and Mariah Langley, Rowen Albertie; siblings, Donna (Wayne) Klocko, Bonnie (Anthony) Motto and Lawrence Hartig; cousin, Kathy (Hartig) Mock and many nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.  Predeceased by his parents; son, Brian Hartig.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe 61073 with a Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project be considered.
