Kathleen E. Dunlea

Kathleen E. Dunlea, 94, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2016 in her home after a brief illness. She was born December 14, 1921 in Farmington, Minnesota to William and Stella Feehan. Her family moved to Chicago where she attended Wright Jr. College.  Kathleen married Charles Dunlea October 18, 1947 and they later moved to Rockford and adopted two children. She worked many years at Holy Family School (Cathedral School) in the Religious Education Dept. Upon retirement she volunteered for over 10 years at St. Anthony Hospital at the information desk and at St. Anne Center nursing home. Kathleen loved knitting, sewing, crafts and playing Bridge.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, James (Cindy) of Virginia and John (Jessie) of Machesney Park; brother, Robert Feehan of Florida; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; brother, James Feehan; sister, Helen Lemke.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Holy Family Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford.  Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory is honored to assist the family.
