John J. Orcholski Sr.

John J. Orcholski Sr., 64, of Rockford, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018. He was born on August 30, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Gloria and George Orcholski. He graduated from Riverside High School in 1970. John worked for Trane then later on worked at In Place Machining Company from 1980-1994 as a field machinist. In 1986 John moved to Virginia Beach and became vice president of East Coast Operations for In Place Machining Company. In 1994 John moved to Illinois and worked for Continental Field Machining for 2 years. He then settled into Orbital Tool Technologies for 21 years as general manager and became vice president of their field machining department.  John was a very kind and giving man. He has helped many children and families and often put others first. He will be deeply missed by all.

John cherished his wife of 35 years, Kristel (Thomas) Orcholski. Along with his children, Sarah Brookins, Jamie (Josh) Zimmer, J.J. and Cassie (Sinisa) Tomic, John adored his nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Other survivors include his brothers, George (Debbie), David (Kathy), Randy (Lori), Tim (Ronda) and Terry (Ann); sisters, Penny (Ron) and MaDonna; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, John (JJ) Orcholski, II and his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111 with Pastor Anthony Maynard officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
