Jerry Cauthen

Jerry Cauthen 79, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017. He was born December 17, 1937 in Chicago to Clarence and Olive (Kelly) Cauthen. Served in the US Marines. Owner and President of Villa Construction. He enjoyed golfing and gambling with his buddies. Jerry was compassionate to all animals, always rescuing them from the animal shelter. His office cats, Charlie and Katie, will miss him along with his dog Roxy whom he loved taking to McDonald’s for breakfast. People that knew him could not help but love his sense of humor and his knowledge on every subject. He always helped people in need, and was a very generous and a kind-hearted man. We cannot imagine life without Jerry in it. May he rest in peace.

Survivors include wife, Susan Jannotta; daughter, Colleen Cauthen Dain; grandson, Maxwell Cauthen Dain; sisters, Evelyn Scharfenberg, and Betty Evans.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial immediately following service in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
