Jeffrey "Jeff" M. Bronson

Jeffrey "Jeff" M. Bronson, 62, slipped away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, September 5, 2016 with friends at his side.  He was born October 16, 1953 in Rockford, the son of William and Lorraine (Jones) Bronson.  He lived his entire life in the Rockford area. He worked for Sunstrand/UTC for over 30 years and was President of UAW 592 for 8 years. Jeff was a strong believer and advocate for working people and was loyal to the labor movement. He also was a longtime member of Narcotics Anonymous. He helped found the Rock River Area Group Services and helped write the literature for NA.

He is loved and will be missed by his sisters, Lee Lee Laliberte and Lou Lou Peterson; grandson, Oscar Davis; as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; a loving daughter, Lauren Davis; niece, Toni King; and nephew, Seth Garner.

Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. with the Memorial Service following at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Honquest Family Funeral Home, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the family name.
