James R. Pettigrew

James Robert Pettigrew, 65, of Rockton, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was born on February 26, 1952 in Beloit Wisconsin to Edwin Robert and Dorothy W. (Kearn) Pettigrew. James grew up in Rockton, Illinois and went on to serve in the United States Navy. He also lived Portsmouth, New Hampshire and South Beloit, Illinois. He worked at Fenner Stone Hydraulics and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. 

Survivors include his daughters, Marie (Robert) Dahl and Sondra (Jeffrey) Lamacchia; stepson, William (Nikki) Ashton; stepdaughter, Tina McNair; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason), Allen (Katie), Codie (Jordyn), Miranda, Ryan (Karen), Amber, Courtney, Chelsey, Jacqualyn and Emily; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Peyton, Kaydence, Sailor, Bridget, Madyson, Asharii, Armanii and Raven; sister, Irene (Eddie) Manring. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Gary; grandsons, Seth and Jacob. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main St. Roscoe, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Rockton Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
