Welcome to the memorial page for

Emily F. Dilonardo

July 15, 1935 ~ June 19, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Emily F. Dilonardo, 81, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017.  Born in Chicago on July 15, 1935 to Richard and Marilyn (Morinec) Green.  Married to George R. Lucchetti and Louis Dilonardo; both predeceased her.  Emily’s loves were her Lord Jesus Christ and her family.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren whose lives she felt blessed to be a part of.  Emily was her family and church family’s prayer warrior.  Her biggest ministry outside of prayer was the founding of the church's formal knitting group and the making of prayer shawls and prayer squares for anyone in need with every stitch being prayed over.  And of course every great-grandbaby received a special “grammy” blanket covered in prayer.  Her other loved church activities were Bible Book Study, Senior Fellowship Lunches and WOW.  During her lifetime Emily wore many “hats” including farmer’s wife, office manager, realtor where she was awarded “Rookie of the Year”, retail work and the co/sole-owner of the Bistro Restaurant in New Milford where she met many long-time friends.  Emily played on golf leagues at Ingersoll, Sandy Hollow, Elliott and Sinnissippi golf courses and she enjoyed feeding her wild birds, knitting, reading and gardening.

Survived by her daughter, Marcia (Alberto) Lucchetti Gomez, Loves Park and son, Robert (Dianna) Lucchetti, Port Charlotte, FL; grandchildren, Aaron (Mary) Huber, Chico, CA, Anna (Jon) Kryder, Rockford, Lauren Lucchetti, Bobby Lucchetti, Port Charlotte, FL, Jessica Trobaugh, Batavia, IL; great-grandchildren, Alexander Huber, Liam, Callan and Molly Kryder, Aiden Joseph and Isabelle Trobaugh; cousins, Joseph Morinec, Floyd Andrick; and her beloved pets, Joy and Happy Cat.  Predeceased by parents; both husbands; special friend, David Rosenberg.  She will be extremely missed by all.

Funeral will be at 12:00 noon with a visitation from 11:00am until the service on Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
