David and Sandy were married on May 7, 1966. They shared 50 years of marriage before Sandra’s passing. David and his brother started D&D Printing in 1965. David and Sandra then opened their own printing company, Steiner Press, where they had over 28 employees. David and Sandra started other businesses: SteinWay Storage, Rockford Business Network, and most recently Steiner Impressions. David also was a commercial realtor from the age of 50 until the last two years of his life, where he was very prominent and successful. David’s legacy lies also in the political arena being a Member of the Winnebago County Board and running for State Senate. He was also a member of the Sanitary District of Rockford, Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, and on the board to build the Metro Center (known as the BMO Harris). David had a quick wit and was helpful to many in the community. Sandy was sweet and a friend to everyone she met. Together they were a great team and accomplished much. Even though there were many accomplishments, their greatest joy was their family. Spending time with their daughter and grandsons was what they enjoyed most. They are greatly missed.
A memorial mass is to be scheduled at a later date.
