Brandon T. Mathenia

Brandon T. Mathenia, 17, of Rockford passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 21, 2016.  Born on August 5, 1998 in Rockford, the son of James and Debra (Enyart) Mathenia, Jr.  Brandon was a student at Auburn High School.  He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.  He had a beautiful spirit and great sense of humor.  He was a fantastic artist.  He enjoyed karate and being with his friends and family.  He was a young man with so much life left to live.  His death was tragic but his short life with us was wonderful.  We all love him and know he is watching over us like he did in life. 

Brandon is survived by his parents, Jim and Deb; sister, Jamie (Deonta) Hubbard and their children, Kira and Mark; maternal grandparents, Denny and Marda Enyart; uncles, Jeff Enyart and Denny (Donna) Enyart; aunts, Sharon Lauer and Karen (Denny) Yocum; many cousins, great aunts and uncles and many friends.

A gathering to celebrate Brandon's life will be held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4055 North Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL 61103.
