Betty Jane Eddy

Betty Jane Eddy, 92, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at home in Arizona where she lived with her daughter Kathy. Her family was by her side. She was born August 7, 1924, the daughter of Walter and Hattie (Latour) Peterson. She lived in Rockford, IL for years. She joined the Navy in 1945 and was authorized to wear the World War II Victory Ribbon. She worked in manufacturing and retired in 1956. She moved to Arizona in 1990. She loved fishing, bingo, and gardening.

Survivors include daughters, Marlene Manning, Barbara Lambert, Kathy Cox all of Arizona; siblings, Gilbert, Mary, Margaret, of Rockford, Doris of Missouri; grandchildren, Tina Neal of Tennessee, Russell Bailey of Arizona, Jennifer Fulwiler of Arizona, Melissa McCarroll of Michigan, Kristin Lambert of Arkansas; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews; and friends. Predeceased by parents; husband, Gerald R. Eddy; sisters, Ruth, Pauline, Ferrell, and Hattie. Thanks to VA Hospice in AZ for the great care.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial in Monroe Cemetery, Monroe Center.
