Betsy (Funk) Ryks

Betsy Ryks, 63, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. She was born on August 20, 1954 in Rockford, Illinois to Melvin and Oleta (Metheny) Funk. Betsy was a big fan of Betty Boop. She was very artistic and enjoyed sewing and crafts. Betsy also loved being outside in her garden with the flowers. Most of all, Betsy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play. They were everything to her. 

Survivors include her children, Derrick (Sara) Ryks, Trevor (Angela) Ryks, Heather (Jason) Ryks; grandchildren, Jason, Andrew, Zyon, Zarya, Vallory, Landon, Ronnie, Charity and Philip; sisters, Connie, Flora and Lenora; brothers, Scott and Allen; several great-nieces and nephews and her beloved fur baby, Bridget. Predeceased by her parents; brother, John; infant grandchild, Zaryssa; and several unborn grandchildren that she can finally hold.

Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday March 29, 2018 in First Church of the Nazarene, 4503 Charles Street Rockford, Illinois, followed by fellowship in the church.
