Beatrice A. Hinton

A true love story doesn't have an ending.  The love story that began as teenagers in Pana, IL and lasted 66 years in this world, continued early last Sunday morning, April 15, 2018, when Beatrice Hinton, 97, passed through to the next place, into the arms of her beloved Lloyd.  Bea was born January 24, 1921. She worked as a hairdresser, and enjoyed volunteering for over 20 years at River Bluff Nursing Home, pampering the residents in the beauty shop. She was a member of the YMCA women's club for more than 30 years. 

Bea and Lloyd created a beautiful and fun-loving life that included their two daughters, Leah (Lump) Lundberg and Lynn (Dave) Morlan; their grandkids, Stacey (Darren), Ryan (Stacey), Jarrett (Bethany), and Brock (Brittany), and 7 great-grandchildren, Sage, Parker, Lucy, Lola, Lydia, Everett, and Charlotte.  Bea was survived by sister, Lucille Tex, and predeceased by husband, Lloyd; brother, Lloyd; sister, Catherine; and special son-in-law, Craig (Lump), all of whom will treasure the times spent together, especially laughter-filled family holidays and weekends at the lake. 

The love shown by caregivers, Sue and Gene and those who went above and beyond from Morning Star and Heartland Hospice, will never be forgotten.

All who knew "sweet, little" Bea could be guaranteed a warm smile and help whenever needed.  Bea and Lloyd had a love that lit up a room. Now, as their family and friends say "until we meet again" to Bea, they also are comforted by the light of that love shining brighter than ever in the next place. All family and friends celebrate the life of Bea, the love of her and Lloyd, and the blessings she leaves behind...all because two people fell in love. 

Memorial service to be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Christ United Methodist Alpine Center, 4509 Highcrest Road, Rockford 61107.  In lieu of flowers, Bea would've wanted, instead, for those people to "pay it forward"...to give help to a neighbor, smile warmly at a stranger, and improve the life of another.
