Arthur L. Brevik

Arthur L. Brevik, 80, of Roscoe passed away Monday, March 20, 2017. Born January 29, 1937 in Burke, SD to Bert and Elsie (Hyatt) Brevik; the youngest of their 8 children. A veteran of the US Army. Married Janet L. Brevik; she predeceased him May 4, 2011. Then married Alice Brevik; she predeceased him on October 22, 2015. Employed as an Industrial Printer in the Fox Valley area. A member of New Life UMC and Harlem UMC. Arthur was an avid antique car enthusiast, proud of his Norwegian heritage, and famous for his videos on his granddaughter’s Snapchat. Most of all, he was a wonderful grandfather.

Survivors include son, Dale (Marianne) Brevik; daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Adams; granddaughter, Elise Brevik; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by first wife, Janet Brevik; second wife, Alice Brevik; sons, Bobby Brevik, Billy Brevik; grandson, Daniel Brevik; 2 brothers; and 5 sisters.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 in New Life United Methodist Church, 8301 Mitchell Road, Machesney Park, with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Marklund Wasmond Center at Little Angels, 1435 Summit Street, Elgin.
