Anthony "Pony" M. Schnell

Anthony "Pony" M. Schnell, 24, of Rockford, and his fiancee, Stephanie Martin, 26, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 from injuries sustained in a car accident.  Born August 14, 1993 in Ft. Polk, LA to Scott Schnell and Katherine Siler.  Anthony received his GED in 2011 after excelling in every course and was valedictorian of his graduating class.  He was very tech savvy and had worked in food service.  He very much enjoyed his Sunday morning breakfasts at Johnny Pamcakes with Pops and C.J.  

Survivors include father, Robert (Sarah) Schnell, Jr.; mother, Dawn (Bill) Parrott; grandparents, Robert "Pops" and Margaret Schnell, Sr.; biological father, Scott Schnell; biological mother, Katherine Siler; brother, Christian “C.J.” Schnell; step-brother, Matthew Hallman; step-sister, Rosie Wildman, other step-sisters and step-brothers; and a host of friends. Predeceased by step-mother, Marilyn Schnell. He will be greatly missed and loved by family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 North Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of services. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
