Angela M. Hollar

Angela Hollar, 38, of Loves Park, IL passed away the morning of Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Born on May 8, 1978 in Rockford, daughter of John and Holly Hollar. She absolutely loved people and helping them, which is what drove her to be so passionate about her career as a nurse. She adored her two children and two grandchildren, Jordan Hollar (22), Jazmyn Austin (11), Elijah (5), and Emersyn (2) and they all adored her as well. She attended Harlem High School, later receiving her GED before attending Rock Valley College where she followed her dreams of becoming an ADN-RN (2004). She continued her studies at Olivet Nazarene to complete her BSN (2010). She was an advocate and teacher for many patients, families and nurses throughout her nursing career at Rosewood Care Center, Swedish American Hospital, and most recently at Rockford Memorial Hospital.  She met many lifelong friends through her early jobs such as Motorola, including long-time companion, Isaac Austin. There were few days of her life where she didn't touch somebody's heart, whether it was a patient, a friend, a brother, a sister, or her children.  
 

She is survived by her grandmother, Anne Johnson; grandfather, Donald Peterson; parents, John and Holly; siblings, John, Ciara, Jessica and Melissa; children, Jordan and Jazmyn; grandchildren, Elijah and Emersyn; nieces, Madelynn and Jayleigh; nephews, Marquel, Zayvias, and John; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by grandparents, Ted C. and Hazel Hollar, who was very influential in Angela's life.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 1, from 11:00am until 1:00pm with the Funeral Service at 1:00pm in Christ Lutheran Church, 425 Riverside Road, Belvidere. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
